The Bread Co. Some people dislike it because it is Panera's. Some people don't like it because it is ubiquitous. Me I have never had an opinion. Because I always thought it was a bread store. I joined Yelp and learned that Bread Co. is a sandwich shop, a bread company, and somewhat of a pastry company. I also learned it was Panera's everywhere else in the world. Yelp is wonderful really. So for my first time I come in and look at the nice sized menu board with all these choices of bread, cheese, meats. Wow can you say over whelming? No problem for me. I am a Yelp Elite and I can handle the situation. I ordered a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. The chowder was served with a piece of french bread and was a very large bowl. As with any clam chowder there are way more potatoes than clams. But I did see some clam pieces in the soup so it had that going for it. I have never in my life had "The Best Chowder in the World" and still have not . After this bowl I am still searching. I liked the place and how everyone has their computer on and working. I guess that is what you do at lunch. Me I eat.

Nothing says "Home" like seeing the St. Louis Bread Co sign instead of it's moniker everywhere else, Panera. Being a hometown girl from St. Louis, I grew up with the Bread Co and was shocked to discover it existed in other places as Panera, then I recovered, regained my composure and continued to order the paninis and salads I was a fan of. This Bread Co in particular is one of my favorites, though because of its ambiance. It has a fireplace (it gives off no discernible heat though) in the middle of the restaurant and nice patio to occupy during the warm months. I'm a sucker for either. As you'd expect the food is the standard Panera fare: good soups, salads, sandwiches, paninis, and pastries of all kinds (pumpkin muffie, anyone?) and they consistently whip it up in record time. Finding a table during peak times can be difficult (you'll become an expert table-hoverer vying for a seat here), I'll admit to that, and I loathe, LOATHE that they only have Pepsi products at the fountain (I'm spoiled though because I live in Atlanta now where even Pepsi-centric places serve Coca Cola, since it's headquartered here). But overall, I like Panera. It's safe, it's familiar, it's inviting, it's got a pretty dynamite chicken noodle soup (especially if you're feeling a little under the weather) and it's a-ok with me.

Hey, it's Bread Co. I've been going for over 20 years, and they still have the tastiest broccoli cheddar soup & asiago bagels. Yeah, it's a little pricey & more chain-like than it used to be a couple decades ago, but what can you do? This Bread Co is big, but usually super busy & somewhat difficult to get in & out of. We went most recently on a Saturday around 12:15 & it was shockingly un-busy. I had the new spinach power salad & the turkey avocado club and both were pretty good. The spinach salad was mostly bacon & fried onions, but I just picked around those. My husband had the one of the new pasta dishes, tortellini alfredo, and even though it had a nice flavor, the large size was not very large & overpriced. I also wish they had still had a more traditional veggie sandwich offering (cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumbers, dill sauce). Their Mediterranean veggie sandwich is OK, but sort of busy, squishy, not crisp & light tasting. If you're in the area, Daily Bread has an incredible veggie sandwich. If you aren't afraid of carbs, their soups are yummy, ESPECIALLY in the sourdough bread bowl. And their breakfast offerings are quite good, albeit greasy.

Not bad, not good either. Just alright. The first time I came here, it was in the morning for a breakfast sandwich through the drive through window. I had to wait almost 10 minutes and my sandwich was scorched on the bottom. I was already on 270 before I noticed so I just forced myself to eat around the burned bits as best I could whilslt driving (so safe, I know!) lol. The OJ was pretty good though. Came here last night and got pretty decent service and food so that was redemption, I guess. Meh, Bread Co. aka Panera. I guess it gets the job done when you're hungry but it won't blow you out of the water or anything.

So, it's bread co. Their food is tasty and my kids love the healthy choices, so that is always a good thing. My beef with every single bread co is that none of them EVER have enough seating for the billions of people who are all eating bread co at the same time. I will say that this Des Peres location has the best outdoor seating area. However, when I'm stuck eating indoors, my 3 children & I are usually stuck squeezing into a 2 seater table.

What can i say. Other than consistently fresh and tasty food regardless of which store you visit. Personal favorite is the the Cuban Panini. Super yummy. Love the bountiful outdoor seating at this particular restaurant.

Let's ignore the customers! It's fun. Seriously, if I wasn't starving, I would have walked out. Oh yeah, rude is apparently on the menu.

I admit it - I love Panera! Err, "Bread Co." as you guys call it here. Yes, they're mostly the same - but seriously, this one is always.on.point. I'm devouring a Jalapeno Cheddar breakfast sandwich right now, and it's yum. Also they are really quick in the mornings, and I'm never late for work, even after waiting an hour to turn back onto Manchester :).

It's your typical Bread Co. I went for a late lunch and easily found parking, however if you go during busy times parking is a pain and you'll have to park in the neighboring parking lot across the other strip mall side. The nice thing about this location is that it's in the middle of Manchester when the road is divided in half. So there is easy access for both directions without having to cut through traffic to get there. Just watch out for people driving quickly in the parking lots. Otherwise there is a friendly staff, good food, and plenty of seating. I'll be going again.

The food is consistently good & hot here... but when did Bread Co become so expensive? How did I afford this stuff when I was younger? This one has a drive through. Today they forgot the bread with my soup.

Worst visit to this location yet. Dining area dirty, no tables wiped down, food all over carpet, coffee station selection half empty; another customer asked for half and half container to be filled twice.

I don't know why we keep trying to go here. They get about 50% of the orders wrong. This morning it was leaving off the egg...for an egg sandwich. The prep team gave me dirty looks when I came back to get it fixed. They throw bags on the counter as if they don't care about who takes them, they just want people to leave. SO many better options in the area. I like Panera in general, but I think I'm ready to write this location off.
